I sincerely hope that this announcement finds all of you safe and healthy. Who would have dreamed that when we left for Spring Break that would be the end of our “normal” year as we know it.These are unpresidented times for all of us as educators and for all of you as parents and guardians. I want to assure you that our primary concern is the safety and well being of your children.
I know some of you have access to technology and some of you do not, therefore I have decided that enrichment packets will be the best route for my classes. These packets will contain activities that will challenge my students’ continued learning, but they will not contain activities with which they will become frustrated. These activity packets are not meant to be a source of stress on either the parents or the students; they are meant to be used as an enrichment tools. I will be including Language Arts activities for students who were in my first, second, and fourth hour classes. I will be including Math activities for those who were in my third and sixth hour classes.
That being said, I want to encourage those of you who do have internet access to continue to use Prodigy and Moby Max. I believe these to be wonderful learning tools. They are full of enrichment activities for all areas of learning. Each of my students should know their logins and passwords, if they do not, please email me at andrewsa@colbert isd.org and I will be glad to get those for them.
Please know that I am here for your children, so if there is an issue please let me know.
